Colleen is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She enjoys all areas of general practice but has a special interest in women’s and children’s health. She has completed the National Certificate in Sexual & Reproductive Health and has a particular interest in contraception. She performs Mirena and Implanon insertions. Colleen also enjoys looking
Komal is our new GP registrar. She graduated from James Cook University in QLD and has worked in Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital as well as John Hunter Hospital before commencing her training to become a fully qualified GP. Her areas of special interest include paediatrics, dermatology and chronic disease management.
Newcastle Family Practice nurses are available Mondays to Fridays to assist with patient care including triaging urgent and emergency care, assisting with procedures, vaccinations, and wound care and early childhood immunisations and health kids checks
They also provide chronic disease care planning by spending time with you to ensure you understand and can manage your conditions optimally.
